This painting started out as a very energetic session working with three colors. At one point I stepped back and saw a city on a hill. It even had a river, a sun and some sort of crane, top right. There also was backlight, created by not yet filling in all the whites of the canvas between the red and the blue. All I did then was adding the white corners for the houses of the city, the city on a hill.
